- Sources Sought Notice (Request for Information) No. 36C24822Q1000 Histopathology Exhaust Fan Replacement This is not a solicitation announcement; this is a sources sought notice only. The Government will not pay nor reimburse any costs of preparing this response. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their business size status relative to NAICS Code 238220; Size Standard of $16.5 Million. Responses to this notice are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. VHA Network 08 Contracting Office is seeking information concerning possible sources to uninstall existing, provide replacement and install the following item: (1) White polyvinyl chloride AMCA certified fan model: VCB-1118-BD-PVC-FRP-9-CW360-3hp-TEFC-PREM-460-3-60. Single width, single inlet, class II, arrangement 9, with backward inclined, non-overloading solid FRP wheel, and upblast discharge. The fan is to have an operating capacity of: 4,450 cfm, Unit is belt driven with a 3hp, 1750 rpm 460 volts, 3 phase, and 60 hertz premium efficiency EPAct motor less starter and disconnect. Fan to include 1inch diameter drain, bolt on access door, FRP shaft sleeve, PVC belt and shaft guard, PVC flexible inlet with SS draw bands, and undrilled flanged outlet. All interested firms should provide the following information: company size, company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, veteran status (VOSB or SDVOSB), capability statement to perform the work, and a statement describing whether there is a reasonable expectation an offer/quote will be submitted at a fair and reasonable price that offers best value to the United States. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to: Benjamin Amato, Contract Specialist, benjamin.amato@va.gov. Responses must be submitted no later than 20 May, 2020 at 12:00 PM eastern standard time. This notice is intended to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective offerors list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in the System of Award Management at www.sam.gov. Registration is free and potential offerors are encouraged to visit that SAM website and register as soon as possible to avoid delays should they be selected for a contract award.
