Description
The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii intends to issue a solicitation for a firm fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) non-personal services contract for On-Call Pediatric General Surgeon Services to support the Department of Surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii.� This requirement is for a period of performance from 01 October 2022 � 30 September 2023 (Base Period), with four (4) one-year option periods. Required qualifications includes but is not limited to: (1) The contractor shall provide non-personal On-Call Pediatric General Surgeon Services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).� (2) The contractor shall provide the non-personal services of qualified Pediatric General Surgeon to provide on-call medically necessary health care services to include urgent or emergent clinical, surgical, and consultative services in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract at the General Surgery Service, Department of Surgery, Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii. This contract may be filled by more than one Pediatric General Surgeon providing services to beneficiaries� age sixteen (16) years and under who are presented to TAMC for urgent or emergent treatment. (3) The contract Pediatric General Surgeons must be located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The services rendered to adolescents will be for diagnosis requiring the expertise of a Pediatric General Surgeons. These include, but are not limited to pediatric tumors, developmental anomalies, and general surgical procedures. (4) The contractor shall be required to carry malpractice insurance for its contract HCPs, at a level stated in the solicitation and included in any resulting contract for subject acquisition in tailored FAR Clause 52.237-7. (5) The contract Pediatric General Surgeon must be a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, be a Board Certified expert in Pediatric Surgery, maintain a United States of America Medical License issued by the State of Hawaii, maintain a current, unrestricted �PAID� state/federal DEA number, possess no physical or mental restrictions for the safe practice of tertiary level Pediatric Surgery. Any change to the DEA requirements to obtain a valid DEA registration number is applicable when the incumbent�s existing DEA registration expires. Foreign medical graduate physicians shall possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates or 5th Path.� Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license issued by the State of Hawaii. The contract Pediatric General Surgeon must be located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The contract Pediatric General Surgeon must be currently trained, certified, and maintain qualification in CPR/BLS through the American Heart Association. On-line certificates are unacceptable. (6) The contractor shall be able to perform extremely difficult operations involving children.� Continuously employed in the practice of applicable general pediatric surgery procedures or in training prior to the commencement of services under this contract in pediatric surgery fellowship.� Have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license issued by the State of Hawaii. The contract Pediatric General Surgeon must be located on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The contract Pediatric General Surgeon must be currently trained, certified, and maintain qualification in CPR/BLS through the American Heart Association. On-line certificates are unacceptable. The proposed acquisition will be full and open competition.
