- Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source firm fixed-price requirement for sixty months to Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLC for the Zeiss LSM 710 Confocal Microscope (Preventive Maintenance) The government requires preventive maintenance services for the Zeiss LSM 710 Confocal Microscope. This will include OEM parts, labor, technical support, and software. The equipment provides patient care for the Brain Rehabilitation Research Center at the Gainesville VA Medical Center. The contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submittal proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received with in the (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. Respondents can complete Attachment A. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations/responses should be emailed to contract specialist at EarlCi.Johnson@va.gov by 12 p.m. EST on May 20, 2022.
