Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to issue an RFQ on an other than full and open basis to Waters Technology Corporation, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 justification for only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Waters owns the IP associated with DESI and is the sole provider of commercial DESI platforms.� This acquisition is for one Xevo G2-XS Mass Spectrometer and DESI XS Ion Source to perform high throughput analysis of novel molecules, such as explosives. Desorption Electrospray Ionization (DESI) interfaced to a high resolution mass spectrometer with MS/MS capabilities is required. The instrument must have a DESI interface platform and a high resolution system with MS/MS capabilities. The instrument required is a Waters Xevo G2-XS Quadrapole Time of Flight Mass Spectrometer with the DESI XS system. The instrument may be refurbished. Data Station running Windows 10, installation, training/familiarization, and a one year warranty is required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 10 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. �The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893622Q0129 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm�s experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule. The Government will consider all information received via email to the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer by 23 May 2022 at 12:00 PM PST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received. No telephone responses will be accepted.
