NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE / SOURCES SOUGHT (Under the Sat - $250,000) The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at West Point intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis to only one responsible source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).� ""Only one responsible source"" is based on the company being the sole developer and provider of the product and / or service and is therefore the only source capable of satisfying the Government's requirement.� The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with: � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �Bruker Biospin Corporation � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � 15 Fortune Dr � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �Billerica, Ma 01821-3923 This is considered a sole source to Bruker Biospin Corporation because � based on market research and to the best of MICC West Point�s knowledge � Bruker Biospin Corp is the only known source that can provide the preventative maintenance service agreement covering a Bruker Avance 400MHZ Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometer system.� Bruker, as the manufacturer, has the expertise and access to parts to maintain, repair and ensure that this piece of instrumentation meets original performance specs. �They are the only company authorized to provide the item with annual preventative maintenance, spare parts, technical / field support, and upgrades in accordance with the original operating specs.� Any services / repairs performed by third parties will void all warranty and maintenance agreement obligations by Bruker Biospin.� Bruker Biospin technicians have provided service for this instrument in the past and have demonstrated that they have the resources required to accomplish this task.�� MFR:� Bruker Biospin Corp.
