Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER.� The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to California Public Health Institute, 555 12th St, STE 290, Oakland, CA 94607 to conduct readiness and implementation activities for preliminary RCKMS-based reporting of malignant mesothelioma from participating healthcare organizations (currently, California uses RCKMS for COVID-19 reporting). The findings of this assessment will inform NIOSH�s evaluation of the feasibility of a mesothelioma patient registry including recommendations for appropriate case ascertainment methods. This work would also align with NIOSH�s service-related strategic goal of enhancing the quality and timeliness of surveillance for chronic conditions associated with occupational exposures.� The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals by forwarding information to the contracting officer. �Submission of a proposal would require the offeror to have all the necessary information needed to provide the required reports. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received from the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Dwight Favors, Contract Specialist at dyf3@cdc.gov by April 25, 2022, 1 PM EST. If no affirmative responses are received on or before the date stated, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with California Public Health Institute, 555 12th St, STE 290, Oakland, CA 94607, as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted. The solicitation number for this requirement is 2022-66245 and is using FAR Subpart 13.1 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR subpart 13.5 �
