- The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, on behalf of Durham VA Medical Center, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for On-site Preventive Maintenance service for an ASP Sterrad Gas Plasma Sterilizer at Greenville Health Care Center with Advanced Sterilization Products Services Inc in accordance with 41 U.S.C. ยง3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. Performance work statement and OEM Proprietary letter is appended. The Government intends to award a one-year (1) base plus four (4) one-year option contract. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date on or about 27 May 2022 to Advanced Sterilization Products Services Inc , 33 Technology Drive, Irvine, CA, 92618. On-site PM services for an ASP Sterrad Gas Plasma Sterilizers in use at the Sterile Processing Service at Greenville Health Care Center. Scope of work to include PM2 Kits, labor and travel costs to perform annual preventative maintenance (PM) services and recertifications of the sterilizer to OEM operating specifications. The sterilizers requiring service support all instrument and endoscope sterile processing for surgical procedures at the Health Care Center and their maintenance and all necessary repairs are deemed a medical priority to meet the re-useable medical equipment (RME) reprocessing caseload for the facility. The OEM, Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), does not contract with third party service providers and is the only source for OEM-trained field service engineers with OEM-new parts and has exclusive and proprietary access to all OEM service software and service publications. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
