Sources Sought This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and is not a solicitation announcement. This Request for Information is for market research purposes only in order to identify firms with the capability to re-gasket Generator Step-Up (GSU) transformers at the Palisades Dam located approximately 55 miles southeast of Idaho Falls, Idaho. The transformers are manufactured by ABB and require ABB certified repair and service personnel to perform the re-gasketing of each unit. Each transformer has a nameplate of 44,150 kilowatts. The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation), Columbia-Pacific Northwest Regional Office, Snake River Area Office-East, intends to solicit quotes for a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Item Service purchase order for this effort. Reclamation will not provide personnel or equipment to complete the requirement. Therefore, the awarded contractor must provide all management, supervision, labor, and supplies. The contractor personnel must have necessary expertise, qualifications, and experience to assure performance of the work in accordance with sound, safe and efficient management practices. The anticipated duration will be from October 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023 with two (2) units to be re-gasketed in October 2022 and two (2) units in October 2023. Sources are being sought for firms with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 335311 with a Small Business Size Standard of 750 employees. Responses are requested to include the following information: 1. Contractors' name, address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. 2. Business size/classification to include any designations as Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Woman owned, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, or 8(a) shall be indicated on first page of submission. 3. Description of capability to conduct all tasks in accordance with ABB guidelines and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) C57.106 and C57.637. Include the locations that your company is able to provide services and what services can be provided. RESPONSES WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED ELECTRONICALLY VIA EMAIL. Interested parties can email their capabilities and interest in this service to Ty Dehart at tdehart@usbr.gov. Responses must be received by 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday, May 23, 2022. Responses will not be returned. Telephonic responses will not be honored. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL/QUOTE, ONLY A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. No award will result from this Sources Sought. This notice does not constitute any commitment by the Government.
