- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION The Government is issuing this Request for Information to determine a competitive basis for the procurement described. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This survey is for market research purposes only.� Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract for Elevator Rehabilitation at Wilson Lock and Dam in Florence, Alabama. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. In the scope of this contract, the Contractor shall be required to provide all material, labor, tools, and equipment necessary to remove the existing elevator components and replace/upgrade with newer components to meet current AL State qualifications, ADA and the American National Standard Safety codes for elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators and moving walks. Types of tasks may include (but are not limited to): -Replacing Elevator Control System (including free fall braking system, main drive motor, main motor mechanical stop, ribbon cables, push buttons, etc.) -Integrating new Fire Alarm system into phone system for automatic emergency response The Contractor will be required to provide all plant, labor, and materials to complete the project. The anticipated NAICS code is 238290- Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a size standard of $16.5 million. Survey The Government is issuing this notice to determine a competitive basis.
