Description
Description: Duct cleaning services for five (5) air conveyance systems and one (1) fan coil unit supporting building on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Statement of Work Duct Cleaning Contractor must comply with Unified Facilities Guide Specification 23-01-30.41 HVAC Cleaning Systems when providing the required service. Prior to the start of cleaning, USAF personnel will confirm that no personnel are present in the workspace of the system being cleaned. Contractor shall remove all supply and return air grilles on first and second floor and shall be cleaned, sanitized and replaced. Sheet metal plenums and air ducts shall be cleaned and sanitized. Contractor may propose a brush cleaning, negative air machines, air whips, or other methods that are submitted and approved by customer. Where required for cleaning or for visual inspection, the Contractor may cut into ductwork to install an access door/point. All access openings will be patched with like or better material, and sealed to prevent air leaks and overt accumulation of particulate/dust. A pre-work site walk should occur in advance of cleaning efforts or prior to 1400 on the first day for contractor to address furniture or other obstructions that need to move prior to start of work. Site walk may be waived if both contractor and Government agree is it unnecessary based on Contractors proposed cleaning method. Work shall be performed on weekdays no earlier than 1600. No work shall be permitted on Saturday or Sunday. At the start and end of shift, the contractor and Government representative shall walk all affected office spaces to confirm work space has been returned to the same condition as it began or cleaner. Government will be prepared to provide 1 escort. Upon completion of cleaning, an EPA registered duct sanitizer intended for HVAC or air conveyance systems will be installed where future mold growth is suspected as a preemptive measure for future contaminant build-up. All collected contaminant and material waste generated from this work shall be collected and removed from Lackland AFB by the contractor. Building has restrooms and water fountains that shall be available for contractor use.
