Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) on behalf of its Office of Facilities Support intends to award a sole source contract for the manufacture and supply of wiping solution system necessary for operation of Intaglio presses recycling system, AquaSave II (ASII). The Government intends to award a sole source contract item peculiar to one manufacturer utilizing �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements� IAW FAR Subpart 6.302-3 Expert Services.� However, all responsible sources�may�submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which�shall�be considered by the agency. The BEP has a requirement to establish a contract for the contractor to provide supplies BEP with Intaglio and Offset presses and associated subsystems for supporting production of US currency. The contractor shall provide the BEP with a wiping solution system necessary for operation of Intaglio presses. The system (Aqua Save II) was installed in the DCF facility, accepted, and validated. The estimated dollar amount is $48,000.00. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive offers/quotes/proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation will not be posted. To be considered, responses MUST be received NO LATER THAN 11:00AM, EASTERN STANDARD TIME, May 20, 2022. Additionally, interested sources must be registered and currently active in the System for Award Management (SAM), found at https://www.sam.gov. Responses MUST be submitted within the closing date/time of publication of this notice.
