- NOTICE OF INTENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17 intends to solicit and award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract with Olympus America, Inc. (3500 Corporate PKWY, Center Valley, PA 18034) in accordance with the 41 U.S.C. ยง 1901 as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The contract anticipated effective date is September 1, 2022 for a period of one year with two option years. This requirement includes an option to purchase. This contract is for the Original Equipment Manufacturer to lease to the Government Olympus High Definition Cystoscopes CYF/HYF Video as well as maintain and repair the equipment as required. Leased equipment will be utilized at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, Audie L. Murphy Memorial Hospital (7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio, TX 78229) where the scopes are required to be compatible with existing equipment and systems already purchased and owned by South Texas Veterans Healthcare System. The NAICS code is 334510, Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Telephone requests will not be accepted. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. All capability statements shall be sent to the points of contacts below and received not later than 4:00 PM CST on May 11, 2022. The determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to the synopsis.
