- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this sources sought notice must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. After review of the responses to this Sources Sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this Sources Sought synopsis are NOT considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Veteran s Integrated Service Network 22 is seeking a contractor to provide kitchen equipment for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System. The requirement is for the following Aladdin products or equivalent having the following salient characteristics. Salient Characteristics (Aladdin) Temp-Rite Hot Food Counter Model No J712A or equal Hot Food Counter with three heating methods: dry heat, steam heating, and hot water heating Each well shall accommodate (1) full size, two (2) half size, or three (3) third size standard steam table pans and accommodate pans up to 6 deep Open under storage with removable stainless steel floor panels Cabinet constructed with at least 14-gauge stainless steel countertop Side and end panels are constructed with stainless steel and have fully welded, round, and polished corners. Four 5 heavy duty, non-marking swivel casters with brakes Each of four hot wells shall have at least 1,000 Watt at 208V heat source that is individually thermostatically controlled. Each individual well shall have a drain and manifold piping to common drain valve that is easily accessible. At least 10 cord and plug assembly. 208Volts, 30A, 1ph Single tier over shelf with heat lamp mounted and wired to control on operator side of steam table Dimensions shall be approximately 60 length, 30 wide, 37 height Quantity required 2 each Equipment must be able to connect to these site conditions: 19.2 AMPS Max full load 4 KW 208 VOLTS Plug-in electric powered Electrical outlet located at 6.25 Above Finished Floor (AFF) 1 Indirect drain size ¾ C -2#10 + 1#10 GND Feeder and conduit size 6-30P NEMA plug Salient Characteristics (Aladdin) Convected Air Dish Heater Model No DH07 or equal Convected Air Dish Heater, two well model Accommodates a wide variety of 9 china (dishware) Stainless steel cabinet Size shall be no more than 33 ¾ Length, 24 ½ Width, 42 13/16 Height 15.9 amps, 208/ 60 Hertz, Single Phase Fully insulated heater compartment Individual field adjustable, self-leveling stainless-steel mechanisms that are easily removable for cleaning Four swivel 5 casters, two with brakes, for maneuverability and stability Designed to heat china or alacite Shall have a push/pull handle Corner bumpers Lighted power switch to indicate operational mode Tight fitting lid design to seal Removable service panel for easy access to temperature controls At least eight foot long, three wire, grounded electrical supply cord and plug Quantity required 8 each Equipment must be able to connect to these site conditions: 15.9 AMPS 208 VOLTS Plug-in electric powered Electrical outlet located at 5 Above Finished Floor (AFF) ¾ C -2#12 + 1#12 GND Feeder and conduit size Salient Characteristics (Aladdin) Temp-Rite Heat on Demand Ultra Activator Model No ULT600 or equal Heat on Demand heater to inductively transfer heat from the activator into the core of the food tray. Solid state electronic controls Accommodate 9 dishware and domes Twelve (12) second heating cycle No larger than 17.6 Width, 18.86 Depth, 13.35 Height, weight: 39 pounds 240 Volts, 50/60 Hertz, Phase: Three, 15 amps NEMA Plug: L15-20P, at least 5.5 long cord with twist-lock plug Quantity required 4 each If you are interested and are capable of providing the required service(s) please provide the following information. (1) Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, SAM Unique Entity ID, DUNS number, and Cage Code. (2) Size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc. (3) Is your company considered small under the NAICS code 337127 Institutional Furniture Manufacturing? (4) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC or are you a contract holder with any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract type and number. (5) If you are an FSS GSA/NAC or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions available on your schedule/contract? (6) Please provide general pricing for your products/solutions for market research purposes. (7) Please submit a capability statement that addresses qualifications and verifies ability to provide required services. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to peter.kim33@va.gov . Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 5/6/2022 10:00 AM PT. After review of the responses to this sources sought announcement, a solicitation may be published on the SAM.gov or GSA eBuy websites. Responses to this sources sought announcement will not be considered adequate responses to the solicitation. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. Prospective bidders must be authorized re-sellers in order to participate in the solicitation process. Notice to potential offerors: All offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at www.vip.vetbiz.gov.
