Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE AN ORDER.� This is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source order to Motion Analysis Corporation, 6085 State Farm Drive, Ste 100, Rohnert Park, CA 94928 for Annual comprehensive hardware and software maintenance The NAICS code for this acquisition is 511210 Software Publishers , with a size standard of $41.5 million. C.1� Background and Need � In 2006, PRL acquired a motion capture system consisting of twelve (12) infrared cameras, specialized cables and a network hub, a workstation class pc, a laptop and accessories. In 2016, a new 40-camera system was added.� Both of these systems came from Motion Analysis Corporation and are proprietary. This hardware maintenance and software license contract is required for annual support and operation of the motion capture systems. These systems are not dedicated to any specific project but are vital to research within the Health Hazards Prevention Branch. C.2� Project Objective � This system is used to capture human test subjects and equipment motions for research purposes.� It enables research projects to generate results not attainable without the use of this technology. C.3� Scope of Work � The vendor, Motion Analysis Corporation, will provide comprehensive hardware maintenance and software licensing with support for all components of the motion capture systems for the period of May 15, 2022 through April 30, 2023. C.4� Technical Requirements �Specifically, the vendor, Motion Analysis Corporation, will provide the following: Licensing and software updates and support for first license for motion capture and data post-processing. Licensing and software updates and support for six licenses for data post-processing. Licensing and software updates and support for a single license for Skeleton Builders and KinTools software. Hardware repairs/replacement as needed for 40 Kestrel motion capture cameras including hardware, lenses, ring lights, and cables, and firmware. Hardware repairs/replacement as needed for two power hubs and network switch hardware. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov , prior to an award of a federal contract. This action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will review any/all product, capabilities, and pricing information submitted prior to the closure of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are hereby afforded the opportunity to submit to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement and pricing information in the format they choose, not to exceed 10 pages.
