- Questions: Item 1 Contractor shall remove two existing bariatric patient lift systems and preserve for further use. Can the VA provide a picture of the existing patient lift support system to estimate the work required for removal? Contractor shall contact Logan Bassuk at Handicare for removal and relocation of lifts and rails, 303-324-5271. Contractor shall demolish corridor wall to install additional doors as indicated on the drawings. Are the additional doors have PACS requirements? Please send doors hardware schedule. See attached. Provide two PACS readers to existing system for the doors leading to the corridor. Items 2 Contractor shall remove existing carpet in K1-224A and replace with tile to match environment. Is it tile or welded vinyl? RVT match existing. Contractor shall install door with frame and hardware to match existing environment in east wall of K1-224A. There are many types of doors in the area. Please provide doors schedule. See attached. Contractor shall install floor-to-ceiling opaque curtain rack down the middle of K1-224A to divide into two spaces. VA EMS shall provide curtain. Do we need to count for the above ceiling support for the curtains? Will the VA provide a detailed drawing for the curtains support, or the contractor needs to hire PE? Curtain support can be inserted into concrete deck above drop ceiling as necessary. Items 3 Contractor shall reinstall the bariatric lifts removed in Line Item 1 to each of the new rooms. Please send us a copy of the bariatric lifts cut sheets. Also, will the VA provide a detailed drawing for the curtains support, or the contractor needs to hire PE? Contractor shall contact Logan Bassuk at Handicare for removal and relocation of lifts and rails, 303-324-5271.
