Description
The 47th Contracting Flight is seeking information from industry for the purpose of conducting market research. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract or any other type of contractual document. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Statement of Characteristics 47 FTW, Component Maintenance Division is requesting a high temperature 3D printer that will be able to produce a full-scale, robust, high-performance parts: Specifications Must have Material Extrusion (MEX)/Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) technology Build volume must be between 440 and 460 X 440 and 460 X 560 and 570mm (x, y z) The travel speed range must be between 475 and 525mm/s Filament size range must be between 1.70 and 1.80mm/s Must have a standard nozzle of 0.6mm With the ability to use 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 mm nozzles Must have dual independent extruders Must include composite ready extruders Maximum extruder temperature of 500�C+ Chamber temperature range of 125�C to 145�C Bed temperature 200�C+ Must have a Z layer height between ? 0.03 mm to 1.5+ mm The positional accuracy of X/Y between 24 and 26 microns Z 1 micron Must be compatible with the following material ABS, ASA, Nylon (PA 6, 6/66, 12), PAEK, PC, PEEK, PEI (ULTEM 9085,1010), PEKK, PETG, POM, PP, PPSU, PSU, PVDF, TPE, TPU, Carbon fiber, glass fiber, Kevlar, and ESD safe variants of the above. Supply voltage for the printer 208/230 VAC, 50/60Hz, 20A, Single Phase Supply voltage for the vacuum bed 120 VAC, 50/60Hz, 5A, Single Phase The vendor will deliver/install all equipment/equipment interface units and ensure functionality/proper operation of the system at Laughlin AFB Texas, building 68--fabrication shop. On-site training to be provided by vendor to a minimum of three employees. 4. Please provide a statement that contains the following: a) Capability of providing this service. b) Small business size status of the company, include any small business socioeconomic contracting programs (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or WOSB programs) that your firm is registered under. RESPONSE GUIDELINES: Responses must specifically describe the contractor�s capability as stated in the salient characteristics to meet the requirements outlined in this RFI. Companies who wish to respond to this RFI should send responses via email no later than 29 April 2022 to TSgt Christopher Robinson at christopher.robinson.52@us.af.mil.
