- Description:� The Army Contracting Agency, Fort Carson, Colorado intends to award a sole source contract to Ragged Edge Solutions, LLC for a five day medical training course for Special Operations Soldiers.� This is a sole source procurement using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures authority for Soliciting Competition FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).� This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within two days from the date of the publication of this synopsis.� Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed below.� Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government.� If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Ragged Edge Solutions, LLC. Requirements: The Contractor will host a five day medical training course for Special Operations soldiers on a large wooded training compound that will represent an austere environment replicating the EUCOM theater. The training shall include Prolonged Field Care and Tactical Combat Casualty Care, shall meet the requirements to recertify Special Operations Forces Austere Care Technicians. The training shall include comprehensive logistics and facilities support specific to participant lodging, on-site full technology classrooms, experienced Physicians and Prolonged Austere Medical Care Experts, realistic scenarios, realistic moulage, human cadavers, human role player(s), high angle and rescue rigging rope instruction with practical application, modes of unconventional transportation, and multiple training sites and medical training lanes for use.
