- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The following information is provided to assist the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), NJ in conducting market research of industry to identify qualified contractors to meet a potential requirement for Support Equipment (the development of CH53K Gearbox Test Stands) for the PMA-261 H53K Program. Interested contractors should have working knowledge of the CH53K aircraft systems and Support Equipment and the engineering and Technical skills relevant to understanding Government-owned specifications. NAWCAD is seeking information regarding how an interested contractor could provide facility information to house one (1) new test stand each for the Main Gearbox Assembly (MGB), Tail/Intermediate Gearbox Assemblies (T/IGB), and Nose Gearbox Assemblies (NGB) capable of testing the CH-53K model gearboxes. �These test stands are not yet developed but have specifications that can be provided by the Government to authorized contractors who maintain a DD 2345. �The attached document outlines the facility/design criteria with which the Government needs assistance from Industry.� Interested contractors will need to request the specifications.� The specifications are export-controlled; interested parties shall submit a request for the specifications package to tamara.d.fossa.civ@us.navy.mil no later than Tuesday 19 April 2022, 12:00 NOON EASTERN STANDARD TIME.� Late requests will not be considered. �Specifications shall be delivered via DOD Safe to the vendor's secure data custodian listed on the DD Form 2345 by the close of business on the next working day after the closing date of drawing requests. �When requesting the drawings, please provide the approved DD 2345. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.� This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and is issued in conformance with DFARS PGI 206.302-1; it does not constitute an Invitation for Bid (IFB), a Request for Proposal (RFP), or a Request for Quote (RFQ).� This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever.� The Government WILL NOT PAY for any information received in response to this RFI, and the Government will not compensate the respondent for any cost incurred in developing the response to this RFI.� Respondents are notified that a formal solicitation may not necessarily result from this RFI.� Availability of any formal solicitation may be announced under a separate Federal Business Opportunities announcement.� Any requests for copies of the solicitation will be not addressed since this is an RFI, not an RFP.� Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP.� Any comments provided may or may not be included in a formal solicitation.� The Government will not release any information received in response to this RFI that is marked with a proprietary legend to any firms, agencies, or individuals outside the Government without written permission in accordance with the legend.� Please be advised that all submissions will become Government property and will not be returned. All interested parties should send company and descriptive literature on currently available products and/or services that meet the Navy's requirements as described above. �With the response, include a point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, website information, DUNS Number, SAM Entity ID Number, CAGE Code, and Business Size Status for the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of this RFI. �Any responses in reference to this RFI shall be submitted electronically to Contract Specialist, Tammy Fossa, at tamara.d.fossa.civ@us.navy.mil with the subject line ""H53K Test Stands"". �All responses should be received no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, 29 April 2022. �ANY QUESTIONS PRIOR TO THEN SHALL BE DIRECTED TO BOTH TAMMY FOSSA (tamara.d.fossa.civ@us.navy.mil) AND THE PCO, KATHRYN JEFFRAY (Kathryn.m.jeffray.civ@us.navy.mil).� DISCLAIMER AND IMPORTANT NOTES: This notice is not a request for proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation. �This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. �Sources choosing to respond to this notice are wholly responsible for any costs/expenses associated with submitting a response.
