- SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Columbus VA Medical Center, 420 N James Road, Columbus, OH 43219, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 321992 with a small business size standard of 500. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with ootBox Inc., 126 S Virginialee Road, Columbus, OH 43219 for outdoor shelter boxes. This will provide insulated shelter with heating/cooling and lighting for staff and patient related screening etc. This box allows for flexible setup options as they do not need bolted down. The boxes have durable, easy cleanable finishes. The boxes are already in place. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 5:30pm EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
