Description
SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AWARD FOR MERCURY MONITORING EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SERVICES The Defense Logistics Agency DCSO Division #2 has a requirement to procure maintenance and calibration services for the VM 3000/Tracker Mercury Vapor Monitor System. The system is located in the Mobile Mercury Transfer System facility at the Defense Logistics Agency Hawthorne Army Depot in Hawthorne, NV. DLA DCSO Division #2 located in Fort Belvoir, VA intends to solicit and award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Mercury Instruments USA a division of ST2 Technologies, Inc. of Littleton, CO.� The period of performance is a base year plus four (4) option years.� This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR PART 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR PART 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $22 million.� The Government intends to solicit only with Mercury Instruments USA and to award this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2).� The anticipated award date is no later than August 30, 2022.� The prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be eligible for award.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.� There is no solicitation document.� No Request for Proposals will be issued.� However, all information received within fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to open the requirement for competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Interested parties may request further information no later than 4:00 PM EDT on April 28, 2022, by sending an email to the Contract Specialist, Wanda Willis, at wanda.willis@dla.mil. �Telephone calls will not be accepted.
