Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Supervisor of Shipbuilding Groton intends to award sole source, fixed price contract to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Chesapeake Marine Refrigeration Corporation, to perform refurbishment of refrigeration compressor. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 1200PM on 21 April 2022 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Joshua Williams, Contract Specialist at joshua.williams7@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This notice complies with FAR 5.101. This special notice is being issues for information purpose only. The Justification & Approval for sole source is attached.
