This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposal or quote and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. Point of Contact for this Sources Sought is: Veronica.flores@va.gov (913) 946 - 1967 Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office -15 3450 S. 4th Street Trafficway Leavenworth, KS. 66048.  STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR Radiation Film Badges 1. INTRODUCTION This solicitation is to provide Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas Dept. of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, PET, OR and similar departments radiation badge services including all badges, logs, supplies, and related services for designated employees as warranted by their job description and duties. 2. BACKGROUND Radiation film badges are worn by all personnel who work with or are exposed to radiation on a daily basis. These film badges measure exposure and are read, logged, and reported to Robert J. Dole VA POC, to be reviewed and discussed with RSO any questionable readings that exceed ALARA. Requirement quantity may change as situation dictates. 3. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide: 1. Radiation badges meter monitoring on a monthly basis and quarterly basis. 2. Each badge will need to be evaluated each month or quarterly and a report of exposure submitted to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) or Assistant RSO each month. Radiation badge reports within 3-5 business days. 3. Radiation badges for new participants set-up. 4. Urgent notification via email for those radiation badges exceeding ALARA limits or as requested by the RSO 5. Re-evaluation of badges with questionable readings as determined by Contractor and the RSO Resources to monitor and track radiation exposure for those employees who work in a variety of clinical settings (ie: several local hospitals or clinics). 6. Staff expertise to answer clinical concerns/questions during normal business hours as they relate to the badges. 7. Maintenance of national Accreditation through the National Institute of Standards and technology via VNLAP. 9. Maintain read badges in storage for 99 years in case future litigation or exposure questions arise. 10. A radiation training CD or weblink. 11. The C&A requirements do not apply and that a Security Accreditation Package is not required. 12. Contractor must identify late fees, damage fees, or any administrative fees as applicable on the quote. 4. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS A. Radiation Badges Whole body badge - Monthly: 120 ea. Radiation Badges Whole body badge Quarterly: 8 ea. Radiation Ring Badges - Monthly: 20 ea. 5. Hours of Operations Business hours for the VAMC follow: Administrative hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. National Holidays: The 10 holidays observed by the Federal Government are: New Year s Day; Martin Luther King s Birthday; Presidents Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Columbus Day; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving; Christmas; and any other day specifically declared by the President of the United States to be a national holiday. Off-Duty hours: Friday through Monday, 4:30 pm - 8:00am; Monday through Thursday, 4:30 pm - 8:00am. 6. DELIVERY & LOCATION INFORMATION Delivery of radiation Film Badges will be shipped to: Robert J.
