- Description
- This is a notification of an intent to award a contract to the American Academy of Pediatrics under NAICS code 519120, IT and Telecom Web Based Subscription by Indian Health Services under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. The Indian Health Service currently has a need for providing Proficiency Testing Services for the Phoenix Indian Medical Center located in Phoenix, AZ. Indian Health Center Phoenix Indian Medical Center 4212 North 16th Street Phoenix, AZ 85016 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Performance of this contract shall begin on 05/01/2022 and shall not extend beyond the completion date of 04/30/2027, unless the period is changed by written modification of the contract. STATEMENT OF WORK: The pediatric care resources is an online resource that is valuable to pediatricians, clinicians and nurses. Staying current in one�s field is necessary to provide the best pediatric patient care and is a component of Evidence-Based Medicine and Evidence-Based Practice. The online resources will provide pediatricians the tools to identify changes in clinical care best practices, nurses will have tools for updating procedures for patient care and can provide pediatric patient handouts directly from the resource. The resource should provide electronic access to up-to-date information on the current practices and treatments for direct pediatric patient care. The electronic resources are accessible 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Pediatric care resource provides online access to a wealth of information for direct care of the pediatric patient. The online resource should provide the following tools in the resources: Interactive periodicity schedule, signs & symptoms search, patient handouts, forms & tools, clinical calculators and algorithms that focus on pediatric patients and textbooks of pediatric care. Pediatric care resource should be a dynamic connection for primary care pediatricians and any other primary care provider who care for children. Pediatric care resource should be a reputable resource vested by the American Academy of Pediatrics to provide updated summary information and online tools for the primary care pediatric provider. In addition the pediatric care resource should function as a gateway to the primary literature and is a point of care tools via a computer-based system. The pediatric care resource will: Be able to provide rapid access to evidence based pediatric disease information (significantly different from adult medicine)�� Be able to provide rapid access to pediatric drug information (significantly different from adult medicine) Be able to provide notifications of changes in pediatric practice (e.g. immunization recommendations, implications of the measles outbreak) immediately via the website Be able to provide a library of handouts written for the lay person to provide to patients and families that are printable Be able to provide quick access to algorithms, forms, and tools to speed up every day practice With a pediatric care resource PIMC is assured its pediatric primary care providers have the latest evidence based information from the American Academy of Pediatrics. System Requirements Access to the pediatric care resource is available from any computer workstation on the PIMC network via the IP address. The system requirements should also: provide online medical portal links which will be available on PIMC�s library webpage on the Intranet. Provide Single Sign-on access when not on campus Provide usage statistics quarterly Provide representative visit to site as needed Provide online assistance with support staff via phone or email to assist with technical difficulties that may arise. Contract Awardee Responsibilities & Tasks The contractor of pediatric car resource shall be responsible for the upkeep of the resources since it is web based. Shall support and maintain the online resources link for easy access to pediatric information. PIMC will ensure that the pediatric care resource has the proper information (IP ranges) to make it available throughout PIMC. The contractor will provide unlimited access to the pediatric resources 24/7 via web link and administrative access to the website for access to the usage stats and organization of the weblinks. Technical support via email or telephone or in person if necessary. The contractor shall conduct the following tasks: Will create an account for PIMC Will assign a Client Services Manager for the PIMC account Client Service Manager will be available for deliver an initial phone consultation for the PIMC account admin and a webinar training for staff. Will communicate via phone, email or in-person for support and maintenance of the online resources. Support and Maintenance Services The contractor shall support and maintain the online resource link for easy access to Pediatric Care resource. This is an online subscription service, the contractor will keep resource up and running. PIMC will ensure that pediatric resource has the proper information (IP ranges) to make available throughout PIMC. Will provide a representative to be available via phone or email to assist with technical difficulties that may arise. Training The contactor shall provide online and telephone training for the administrator of Pediatric Care online as well as online tutorials for pediatric staff Web Requirements The contractor shall provide the online link for complete and open access to pediatric care resource and PIMC will provide IP address Electronic resources are delivered via the computer network Online medical portals is available on PIMC�s library webpage on the Intranet Single Sign-on is used when not on campus Usage statistics are provided quarterly Representative visits site as needed Support staff available via phone or email to assist with technical difficulties that may arise If you can provide the services requested, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the Agency and may be e-mailed to jonathan.schrader@ihs.gov referencing notice number 75H71222P00060 by 3 pm PST, 14 May 2022. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. This is NOT a request for proposals. Any solicitation resulting from the analysis of information obtained will be announced to the public in Federal Business Opportunities in accordance with the FAR Part 5. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. No proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information should be included in your response. The Government reserves the right to use any non-proprietary technical information in any resultant solicitation(s).
