- This is a Sources Sought/Request for Information only.� This is not a Solicitation Announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal.� This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District is issuing the sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for civil works construction.� The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.� The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 237110. In accordance with FAR 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of the Construction Project is $1M-$5M. SHEP LOWER DO DISCHARGE PIPE STABILIZATION The purpose of this project is to stabilize the discharge pipes that deliver dissolved oxygen to the Savannah (Front) and Back Rivers from the Lower Dissolved Oxygen Plant on Hutchinson Island in the City of Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia 31421. Scour areas adjacent to and beneath the discharge pipes on the Savannah River and Back River will be filled with like materials from nearby dredge spoil areas. In addition, a pipe expansion joint on the discharge pipe to the Savannah River will be replaced to allow full range of movement landward. There is limited access to the Back River work site, how would you propose to restore the riverbed to original grade over the dissolved oxygen discharge pipe?
