- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single Source with Engineering Biology Research Consortium (EBRC), Emeryville, CA for renewal of annual institutional membership. This is a sole source requirement as EBRC is the exclusive entity: �a) managing the EBRC Council and Standing Working Groups � each of which permits participation by one (1) member representative; b) hosting annual meetings and retreats � each of which permits participation by up to (5) member representatives; c) granting access to members-only EBRC-related topical content residing at the EBRC website; d) granting access to slides and posters presented at EBRC meetings and retreats; e) shaping engineering biology�s national roadmap; and, f) collecting the annual fee. �A firm fixed-price Purchase Order will be issued on or about 24 Jun 2022 for a 1- year period and include (4) 1- year option periods for renewal. �No solicitation package will be issued. �This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. �Inquiries will only be accepted via e-mail to randy.schroyer@nist.gov. �The government will consider responses received by 5:00PM, EST, 8 Apr 2022. �Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. �This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition. �No telephone requests will be honored. �
