- The Naval Supply (NAVSUP) Systems Command, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Jacksonville, FL. intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisitions Procedures to Machine Tool Marketing, Inc. (a Woman-Owned Small Business). They are the sole distributor for the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Newland Machine Tool Group, Inc. The requirement is for repair of the Newland Vertical Turning Lathe, Model NVT 3000 Argo, at Trident Refit Facility, Kings Bay, GA. This sole-source acquisition meets the conditions under Statutory Authority permitting Other Than Full Competition under 41 U.S. C. 1901(e)2, Special Rules for Commercial Items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a) and is not a request for competitive quotes, however all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements should contact kenneth.b.brown4@navy.mil. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or an invitation to bid. Pop: 10 April 2022 to 30 September 2022 Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by March 30, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. E.S.T.. via email to kenneth.b.brown4@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and will be at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer. If no written responses are received by 4:00 p.m. E.S.T, March 30, 2022, the contract will be solicited without further notice. It is anticipated that any resulting solicitation will be for a sole-source, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with a Product Service Code (PSC) J034 and a NAICS of 333517 with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to provide this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with clear and convincing evidence to clearly articulate the ability to provide this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses are received after publication of this notice, to the effect that comparable items are available, and that it is more advantageous to the Government that obtaining this service through a sole-source contract, then a sole-source acquisition will be made.
