Description
This solicitation is to establish an understanding of the requirements to test and, if necessary, repair the following F-16 items: Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) to an �A� condition serviceable asset. This repair includes reworking or replacing parts in the SRU assemblies. Reusable disassembled item components shall be used as replacement components for restoring functionality of other items. These reusable components are not required to maintain the end item identification. The SRU item parts shall be reassembled so as to furnish a fully functional repaired item. The repair processes used by the contractor shall bring service life back to the reconditioned items. The SRU(s) will be restored to a serviceable condition in a facility owned and/or operated by the contractor. The qualified repair source/contractor will repair the items per specification, approved technical orders, and methods approved through the cognizant engineer at the time of qualification or during continuing qualification. Rebuild/replacement of another manufacturer�s TWT with a manufacturer�s own TWT (same form, fit, and function) is authorized. Group item repairs are categorized as just-in-time repairs, not scheduled repairs, the contractor shall provide and maintain all the capabilities to test and repair the mentioned items to serviceable �A� condition such as, but not limited to, all the expertise, labor, tools, equipment, and parts in order to deliver the serviceable items within the time period specified on the contract. The contractor shall maintain test and repair records that includes cost accounting records of all items serviced underthe contract. All units shall be evaluated, and a repair category established. Repair categories include Minor Repair, Major Repair, and Rebuild. The contractor shall inspect, test, repair, update, reassemble, calibrate, and retest GFP IAW contractor�s technical data specifications to bring the asset to serviceable condition.
