Description

NOTICE OF INTENT THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Norfolk District, intends to procure design support services as part of a design-build construction project on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) with Summer Consultants Inc, 7900 Westpark Dr #A405, McLean, VA 22102. The contract contemplated will provide design, construction, and support services in support of the Naval Station Norfolk Renovate Building 1602 project located at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. The project consists of proposed renovations/upgrades to the existing Rooms A-325, A-326 and A-327 for improved acoustical, functional and physical security performance. The period of performance shall be approximately 180 calendar days. It is the intent of the Government to utilize Summer Consultants, INC. to update the design documents and to provide post award construction services to the prime contractor. The work shall be completed in accordance with the Unified Design Criteria, USACE�s design guide, and integration of the geographic conditions and site constraints. As Designer of Record, Summer Consultants, INC. previously developed both the design intent and the detailed plans and specifications for the Naval Station Norfolk Renovate Building 1602, Naval Station Norfolk, VA in 2021. This Notice of Intent is hereby published in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals; however, if any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a capability statement to the point of contact listed in this Special Notice. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow USACE to be able to determine if the interested party can perform the requirement described herein. The Norfolk District will consider any responses to this notice received within 15 calendar days of the posting of this notice.
