- Description
- This is a Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) for a potential Design-Build Construction Contract at Hanscom Air Force Base (AFB) Building 1607, Lincoln, Massachusetts. The purpose of this Sources Sought/RFI is to conduct market research in order to determine whether responsible sources exist and if this effort can be executed through a competitive process. This Sources Sought/RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought/RFI or any follow up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results. � The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the anticipated price range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The general scope of the prospective project shall be accomplished using a Design Build (DB) delivery method. The intent is to transform the existing Data Centers to reliable state of the art Data Centers with fully redundant HVAC system with specific self-contained automated rack temperature, humidity, and power controls. Work consists of multidiscipline Design Build effort to upgrade, reconfigure, resize, existing Data centers HVAC system for 169, 264 and any affected spaces and redundant InRow rack cooling for existing APC racks in rooms 169 and 246. The Design Build effort shall provide a new design and layout to replace the existing HVAC systems (components, devices, utilities, chilled water, humidity equipment, controls, mechanical piping, plumbing, refrigeration system, electrical, and associated instrumentation, lighting, electrical, communication, structural supports, and infrastructure) for rooms 169, 264 and supporting and adjacent spaces with new redundant InRow rack Cooling with self-contained controls and new space HVAC system in its entirety for rooms 169, 264 and supporting adjacent areas, located� in Building 1607. Required purchases will include the following; Johnson Controls Metasys Energy Monitoring and Control Systems (EMCS), Medeco Door Hardware, and Schneider Electric/APC InRow Rack cooling. This effort includes Title 1A and verification of existing condition assessment report, Title 1B design services and construction, furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, travel, supervision, construction management, Preliminary, interim, and final phasing plan, providing temporary HVAC system, testing and balancing, performance verification, independent commissioning, Provide refrigerant leak detection system, purging, and reclamation system and alarms. Johnson Controls Metasys DDC system to integrate the Air Handling units (AHUs), and roof top fans (RFs), CAVs, VAVs, space temperature, VFDs, pumps, space humidity controls and misc. components that are not part of the InRow rack cooling system to the Building. The contractor shall provide multidiscipline Professional Architect and Engineers who have working knowledge of the specific field (civil, structural, Architectural, mechanical, Plumbing, Qualified Fire Protection,� electrical, communications, controls, environmental) design efforts to provide entire effort from inception to completion provide edited UFGS specification, drawings, catalog cuts, design analysis, design narratives, and calculations for this design build effort in accordance with specific UFCs and Hanscom Design Guide. The information requested will be used within the Air Force to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside the agency.
