POC: Steven Abbey Mail all responses only to: Steven.Abbey@va.gov DESCRIPTION: This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339950. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking small business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of the following John Deere brand name requirement. General Scope: The scope of this project includes removal of existing signage and installation of a new digital sign which shall match finishes and sizes exactly as described in attached, approved VAMC drawings. The proposed exterior main entrance two-sided sign shall include a built-in electronic LED package (viewable from both sides) and shall meet all Federal and Department of Veterans Affairs requirements for safety and ADA compliance. The project shall be coordinated with the VAMC according to facility demolition, renovation and construction schedules. This project requires a combined environmental graphics design-build organization with significant experience in developing a large-scale exterior signage/wayfinding/digital display scheme in a major medical center environment. General Requirements: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation and training necessary to accomplish the project. The Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damaging the existing construction. However, if any damage does occur, the Contractor shall repair it to match the existing construction. The work area shall be kept reasonably clean at all times. The Contractor shall perform a complete cleanup of the work area at the end of the contract. Contractor Specific Requirements: The Contractor shall provide Engineering services for structure, attachment method and wind load. The Contractor shall provide an on-site, detailed Tech Survey to verify the current status of existing construction and electrical map in order to ensure the accuracy of installed signage to VAMC-approved design and specifications. The existing brick base and cap shall remain. The Contractor shall remove the existing sign and install a new signage system per VAMC drawings and specifications. The Contractor shall fabricate the entire sign to VAMC approved design and specifications. The Contractor shall warrant all parts and workmanship for no less than (5) five years. The Contractor shall install Watchfire 10mm double-sided LED display with Lifetime 4G communication method. If required, the Contractor shall provide sketches, survey, color prints and drop off/pick up of application for sign permit(s). The Contractor shall provide Project Management to include coordination with general contracting, electrician(s), local inspector(s) and projection of project timeline. Contractor shall handle all aspects of shipping. There shall be no addition costs to the VAMC for shipping. The Contractor shall provide system programming services for the Watchfire LED Display. The Contractor shall provide training for the Watchfire LED Display for the life of the sign. Government Requirements: The Northport VAMC shall provide electric, phone/Wi-Fi line to sign location. The Northport VAMC shall provide limited storage of packaged signage material.
