- Description
- This Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) is being issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10, Market Research. It is for information, planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as either a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Air Force. The Air Force welcomes responses from all interested parties. The general requirement is for a Mobile Broadband Kit � Virtual Machine (5G) (MBK-VM) designed for Agile Combat Employment mission by providing dual 5G cellular data access, load balancing, fail-over, and virtual routing capabilities being able to provide commercial transport for our classified systems. Requested key features are so detailed: BioDigitalPC card - full x86 computing platform (i7 CPU, 2.10 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 1TB NVMe SSD) in the R8k 3D Enclosure. Rugged R1900 5G router, FirstNet Ready w/ Band 14 HDPE insert with integrated LiFePo4 battery and power cords. Charging: internal three stage charge controller which will accept 14-18 vdc and up to a 60 watt solar panel. Wall charger included, charging the system in approximately 90 minutes. Internal Battery Protection Circuit equipped, preventing overcharge, over-discharge, and short circuitsCell, Wifi, and GPS antennas Lid mounted organizer All components contained in a mil-spec case with external antenna ports Acknowledgment of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the outcome of the Air Force's review of the information received. Additionally, the Air Force does not intend to hold discussions concerning this RFI with any interested parties. This request is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. However, the Air Force reserves the right to contact one or more of the respondents if additional information is required or to request demonstrations. The Air Force will use this market research information to assess the market capability to successfully meet the Air Force's requirements for the procurement of integrated Mobile Broadband Kit � Virtual Machine, 5G Modem at Aviano at Aviano Air Base, Italy.
