- WAVE AND TIDAL GAUGES REQUEST FOR QUOTE INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-04, effective 01/30/2022. This acquisition is available for full and open competition. DESCRIPTION The US Geological Survey, Pacific Coastal & Marine Science Center, requires Wave and Tidal Gauges as described in the attached SF-18. Proposals must be submitted FOB Destination shipping to Santa Cruz, CA 95060. RELEVENT INFORMATION The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334519, Other Manufacturing and Controlling Device Manufacturing and associated size standard 500 employees apply to this announcement, along with Product Service Code 6655, Geophysical Instruments. All questions must be sent directly to capplegate by 03/23/2022 at 1000 PDT. Quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at capplegate@usgs.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 03/28/2022 at 0700 PDT. Proposals submitted by hardcopy or any web portal shall not be accepted or considered. Offerers are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the Salient Characteristics (see Attachment). This may include product literature, references, or other documents, if necessary, and is to include the country of manufacture.
