Subject: Ethernet Data Line Support Services Requiring Activity Name: United States Army Medical Research and Development Command, Deputy Chief of Staff for Information Management THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ); IT IS STRICTLY A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). NEITHER UNSOLICITED PROPOSALS NOR ANY OTHER KINDS OF OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN RESPONSE�TO THIS RFI. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.� 1.0 DISCLAIMER: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future RFP will not be entertained. 2.0 SUBJECT: This is a summary of the Performance Work Statement for this requirement.� The purpose of this requirement is to provide Ethernet data line support services to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command, Deputy Chief of Staff for Information Management. 3.0 BACKGROUND:� The U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command maintains services on a .ORG domain commercial ISP for conducting research specific activities. The U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command .ORG domain is used to maintain the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command websites, provide network connectivity to mission partners, and connectivity to systems and backup servers for continuity of operations (COOP) located offsite. The .ORG allows the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command to conduct Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) services to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command labs and mission partners.� 4.0 RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS:� �Respondents should address the following in their capabilities statement:��� Ability to provide Ethernet data line support services with the specific requirements and tasks listed below. Requirements. The Contractor will provide external data line services to include: 50 MB (up speed and down speed) Ethernet data line and associated vendor provided equipment to allow copper connection to Government owned router. Minimum of a /24 Public IP address space with the address space of 216.127.134.0 95% or greater quality of service. Access to contractor technical support Monday � Friday during normal business hours (8:00 AM ET � 5:00 PM ET). 24/7 Access to emergency service in the event of Ethernet data line outage. The vendor must have or obtain authorization from the Fort Detrick NEC (e.g. past performance, letter of approval from Ft Detrick NEC etc.) installation to provide Ethernet data line services directly to the USAMRDC facilities at Ft. Detrick, MD. The vendor must be able to access the Army facilities in the case of outages. The government is responsible for the downstream routing and sub netting of the Ethernet line once it is dropped and operational. The Government is responsible for all Access Control Lists (ACLs) on government owned routers and switches contained within the network enclave.� The Vendor is responsible for circuit security and upstream packet security outside of the government network enclave. Estimated Period of Performance. 1 June 2022 � 30 May 2023, plus four option years 5.0 CONTACT INFORMATION:� No questions will be addressed.
