You are invited to submit a proposal in response to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Centers (GSFC) solicitation for the Mars Sample Return (MSR) Capture, Containment and Return System (CCRS) Capture and Containment Module (CCM) Camera procurement in support of the MSR-CCRS Project, Code 435. The Camera is being procured as a component of the CCM, which is part of the MSR-CCRS. The Camera provides the capability to capture images from inside the CCM while in Mars orbit. One set of images will be used to assess the conditions of an Orbiting Sample (OS) (approximately 50 cm in diameter) captured around Mars orbit and one set of images will document the robotic processing of the OS for delivery to Earth. The CCM architecture requires two camera heads to acquire these data sets using two different vantage points inside the CCM. The scope of work for the CCM Camera contract is for all labor, materials, facilities, service, equipment, analyses and management activities necessary to procure parts and materials, assemble and test, and deliver the CCM Camera system described in the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW).
