Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a contractor to drydock, blast, inspect, repair and paint barge # 775.� The 775 barge is 110 ft long, 26 ft wide, and has a draft depth of 5 ft. It is a storage barge for the Dredge Goetz. It travels up and down the Mississippi River with as serves and a storage and workshop to support operation on the dredge fleet. The Contractor shall assume complete responsibility for transportation of the barge from Lock and Dam 7 in La Crescent, MN to their facility and returned to Lock and Dam 7 after completion. The Contractor shall raise the barge on dry dock and clean the hull by water blasting to remove all debris, scale, loose rust, and loose paint. Prior to cleaning, the Contractor shall notify the Technical Point of Contact when the barge is up on dry dock and available for inspection. After cleaning, the Contractor shall repair the leak in the center void. The contractor should assume the repair can be made by welding a �� x 24� x 24� steel plate. After repairs the Contractor shall paint the outside of the barge. Painting shall include a one-coat primer (brushed, roller, or sprayed) and a one-coat marine epoxy (example: Sherwin Williams Seaguard 6,000 Marine Epoxy). The barge needs to be returned to Lock 7 by 30 April, 2022. In order to be eligible for award, offeror must be party to Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA), solicitation W912ES21R0008, as posted on https://www.SAM.gov/. If the offeror is not already party to the agreement, they shall submit a proposal with their offer with the information requested in Solicitation W912ES21R0008. Note: All terms and conditions of the MSRA solicitaition will apply to any order issued off of this RFQ
