Description: THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. OFFEROR BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS NOTICE. CONTRACT INFORMATION:ï¿½ USACE ï¿½ Alaska District has a project that includes performing surveying, dredging, and disposal of approximately 83,000 cubic yards of material from the South Harbor entrance channel, turning basin and maneuvering basins in Petersburg, Alaska.ï¿½ The harbor shall be surveyed before and after dredging is complete.ï¿½ The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work.ï¿½ This acquisition will be issued as 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside.ï¿½ The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction which has a size standard of $30M.ï¿½ A solicitation will be available via the PIEE module in April.ï¿½ Pay special attention to the announcement posted on this site, which will provide directions to searching for the solicitation in PIEE. This acquisition will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price contract consisting of a base and six option tasks which will only be exercised if in the Governmentï¿½s best interest. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The objective of this contract is to perform surveying, dredging, and disposal of approximately 83,000 cubic yards of material from the South Harbor entrance channel, turning basin and maneuvering basins in Petersburg, Alaska.ï¿½ Dredged material shall be placed in water tentative upon concurrence from the EPA on the Section 103 Site selection.ï¿½ The harbor shall be surveyed before and after dredging is complete.ï¿½ The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work.ï¿½ The Contractor shall comply with commercial and industry standards, as well as all applicable Federal State, and Local laws, regulations and procedures.ï¿½ The Construction Wage Rates (formerly Davis-Bacon Act) will apply. If the solicitation is cancelled, all proposal preparation costs will be borne by the offeror.ï¿½ All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov.ï¿½ï¿½ Joint ventures must be registered in SAM as the joint venture.ï¿½ Offerors are advised to begin this process when they prepare their proposal in order to ensure this registration is in place should they be selected for the award.ï¿½ Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
