Description
ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIEST SERVICES This is a sources sought notice only and it is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 813110 (Religious Organizations). Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted. A response to this sources sought notice is not an adequate reply to a potentially forthcoming solicitation. The Nebraska-Western Iowa VA Health Care System (NWIVAHCS) is potentially seeking a qualified contractor to provide Roman Catholic Priest services at the Omaha, NE VA Medical Center and chapel, located at 4101 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105. Under the overall supervision of the NWIVAHCS Chief of the Chaplain Service, the contracted Roman Catholic Priest will coordinate on an on-going basis with the VA s Roman Catholic Chaplain, to provide the following services: Celebrate Catholic mass an average of two (2) scheduled duty days per week; not to exceed one-hundred-four (104) total scheduled duty days per year.  Catholic Sacraments and Last Rites, when requested by the Veteran or Veteran family, shall also be provided by the contractor during these scheduled duty days. Celebrate Catholic mass and/or provide Catholic Sacraments and Last Rites during four (4) scheduled on-call duty days per month; not to exceed forty-eight (48) total on-call duty days per year. Catholic Sacraments and Last Rites, when requested by the Veteran or Veteran family, shall also be provided by the contractor during these scheduled on-call duty days. Catholic mass will include a combination of daily morning mass, Sunday mass and Holy Days of Obligation. Mass will always include the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Other Sacraments and Last Rites may include Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick and final Eucharist. The contract Roman Catholic Priest shall be in good standing with the Roman Catholic church and be able to present an Ecclesiastical Endorsement to that effect.    To respond to this sources sought notice, please complete the attached form titled Response Form to Sources Sought Notice and email the information requested to John Breyer, Contract Specialist, at john.breyer@va.gov. The closing date and time of this sources sought notice is March 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM Central Time. This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this sources sought notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of any forthcoming solicitation.
