Description

NOTICE OF INTENT THIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District intends to issue a contract modification, on a sole source basis, to abilityone. (�Jewish Vocational Services and Community Workshop�). This sole source contract action is required for completion of the following scope of work: The Contractor shall pick up incoming mail each Monday through Friday (exclusive of Federal holidays) from the USPS Postal Station located in the basement of the P. V. McNamara Building, Detroit Michigan.� Pickup of the mail shall occur as soon as the USPS Postal Station opens for business. During mail pickup, the Contractor shall sign for any accountable mail. The required work also, include providing management, labor and transportation services to perform the Detroit District mail processing operational responsibilities. This requirement will be issued off the current purchase order W911XK17P00017 using clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services (NOV 1999). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.� The government is not obligated to, and will not pay for, any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. This Notice of intent is hereby published in accordance with FAR 5.203. All responses received within five calendar days of the posting of this notice, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. USACE Detroit District will consider any responses to the notice received within five calendar days of the posting of the notice. Responses may be submitted via email to the points of contract on this notice. Please include CONTRACT W911XK17P00017 in the subject line.
