Description
Please find attached addendum number two for this project. Tender No.:� 57/2021/SW Project Name: Construction & Rehabilitation of Najel Pump Station and Restructuring of Water Distribution Network in Al Shoubak 1. This invitation of tender is opened by Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ) (hereinafter called �The Employer�) to tender for the project of Construction & Rehabilitation of Najel Pump Station and Restructuring of Water Distribution Network in Al Shoubak (hereinafter called ""The Project"") and as detailed below: a. The Local Contractors must satisfy a valid classification as First (1st) Grade combined in the field of Water and Wastewater �as per the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Government Tenders Department (GTD) classification system. b. International Contractors shall form a Joint Venture with the Local Contractors. The local Contractor shall be classified by the GTD as Grade (1) in the field of water and wastewater. In this case, a letter of intent to form a Joint Venture (JV) or association should be provided, and that the Partners recognize that they shall be capable and responsible for completion of the project, should the leader or any partner fail or retire from the contract for any reason. The Joint Venture should be with qualified international firms only. c. Nationality of the main Contractors, Joint venture partners and\or Sub-contractor shall comply with geographic USAID code #937 ( The United States, Jordan (the cooperating/recipient country), and developing countries other than advanced developing countries, but excluding any countries that is prohibited source): 2. The scope of work of this project includes construction and rehabilitation of Najel pumping station and restructuring of Al Shoubak water distribution networks. 3. Interested eligible tenderers are invited to purchase the full set of the tender documents from the Water Authority of Jordan at the address noted below starting from 09.00�hours to 14.00�hours on working days (Sunday to Thursday) for the non-refundable fee of (500) JDs per set. The method of payment will be (cash). Site visit is scheduled for the project area at the same day of the pre-tender meeting from WAJ office (water sector / fifth floor) . Tenderers are responsible for their own transportation to the site. Tenderers are responsible to take all necessary COVID-19 Safety measures on their expense during the site visit. 5. Inquiries related to the tender documents shall be sent to WAJ, Eng. Najwa Orabee via email addressed above. Tenderers are obliged to follow up the issuance of any addenda to the tender documents or answers to inquiries issued by WAJ official e-mail letter. 6. The original and copy of the Tender Security (Bank Guarantee) shall be provided in a sealed separate envelope, with the technical offer, for an amount of JOD (55,000) and must be valid for (180) days starting from the submission date of tender. A certified cheque will be rejected. 7. The Employer will not be responsible for lost and /or undelivered documents sent by mail, Fax or similar means. 8. The Employer has the right to cancel the tendering process without bearing any financial or legal obligations. 9. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any offer, and to annul the tender and cancel the procurement process at any time, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders. 10 All information provided/submitted by the tenderers shall be correct, accurate, and duly certified. 11.
