- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT / REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) announcement and is in accordance with FAR Subpart 15.201(e). It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposal (RFP) or request for quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decisions, to include set aside decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 316210 Footwear Manufacturing The National Cemetery Administration (NCA) Midwest District is seeking interested sources who can provide Mobile Shoe Service for all NCA cemeteries under the Midwest District. The following states are under the Midwest District: North Dakota South Dakota Nebraska Kansas Missouri Iowa Minnesota Wisconsin Illinois Indiana Michigan Ohio NCA is currently only looking for Mobile Shoe Service in the Midwest District, but may also considering expanding it to be nationwide to service all NCA Districts, which includes Pacific, Continental, Southeast, and North Atlantic Districts. Interested parties can use this link to see all cemetery locations and additional information under the Midwest District: Midwest District - Locations (va.gov) and this link for all other Districts Find a Cemetery (va.gov). The contractor shall provide management, labor, equipment, supplies, and any other additional resources to provide onsite mobile shoe services at the respect NCA cemetery. Contractor will be required to dispatch a vehicle with a range of safety footwear (steel / composite toe), to include different brands and sizes, and assist NCA employees in selecting / fitting the proper footwear. Responses must be received no later than the closing date and time posted within this Sources Sought announcement. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this Sources Sought announcement. Responses to this Sources Sought announcement are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Important information: The Government is not obligated to, nor will it reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
