Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 has a need for Calibration Services to the Biomedical Engineering Test Equipment. The contractor shall furnish transportation of part(s) (if required) to and from the VAMC facility, all supplies, materials, equipment, personnel/labor and technical supervision required to perform the inspections, and calibrations as needed. The solicitation shall be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5. The contractor shall be responsible for securing all manufacturers information, data, procedures, and any other information necessary to conduct calibration. SCHEDULED CALIBRATION: The contractor shall perform calibration service to ensure that the test equipment listed in the schedule performs to OEM Standards. The contractor shall make thorough technical inspections of the equipment covered in the Schedule. In no event shall more than one year elapse between test equipment calibration. Calibration services shall include, but need not be limited to, the following: Determining that the test equipment is functioning properly and ensure that the results or readings it provides are accurate. Inform Biomedical engineering staff when corrective action is necessary. 3. Provide corrective action, when applicable, by measuring and adjusting and calibrating as necessary for optimal performance, output or image quality. 4. Providing documentation of services performed. Service tags: All equipment receiving routine scheduled service shall be identified by the technician placing an inspection sticker containing the date of calibration, date of next calibration, and initials of repair technician who serviced the equipment. Service Reports: All calibration activities need to be documented with a detailed report providing at minimum: identifying the piece of equipment, the calibration performed, any results, identification of test equipment used, a copy of the test equipment s calibration certificate, condition of equipment and any recommendations for future calibration or replacement suggestions. Duplicate copies maintained in our records for customer back up. Inspection: If services are required for equipment or a performed task, then an inspection shall be done by the VA Biomedical engineering POC upon completion. The biomedical engineer will perform the inspection in the presence of the contractor personnel, prior to the contractor personnel leaving the facility. Place of Performance: VA Fayetteville NC Coastal Healthcare System Building 1. Basement Floor 2300 Ramsey Street Fayetteville, NC 28301 Period of Performance: Period of Performance for the resultant contract will be June 1, 2022- June 1, 2023. Type of Set-Aside: This acquisition is Unrestricted. The applicable NAICS is 541714, Research and Development in Biotechnology (except Nanobiotechnology), with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Contract Type: The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price type contract in accordance with all terms, conditions and provisions of the solicitation. A formal Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about February 8, 2022 via Contract Opportunities website via https://beta.sam.gov/ All potential offerors are responsible for monitoring and downloading all documents including amendments at the beta.SAM website without further notification from the Contracting Officer.
