Description
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as a means of conducting market research to identify potential parties having interest, capabilities, and the resources to support a requirement currently under consideration. This is not a solicitation for offers.� The results of this RFI will help inform the Government�s decision on determining the method of procurement, as well identify potential sources. ��Submission of any information in response to this RFI is voluntary and the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. MARAD is considering a requirement for technical services to assess the need, means, and process to improve the efficiency of multimodal transportation infrastructure, provide subsequent capacity building, and perform related services in support of MARAD international foreign technical assistance programs in the Indo-Pacific region, specifically The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) nations. These services will help enable MARAD and DOT to deploy technical assistance to support transportation infrastructure, standards development, environmental sustainability, safety, border crossing facilitation, ensure resiliency of international transportation systems, and to provide partner countries the tools needed to analyze and assess all aspects of transportation infrastructure projects. Interested parties with the potential capabilities to provide these services are encouraged to review the sample Performance Work Statement and provide the following information: (Entire submission should be limited to no more than 7 pages/10MB.) � � �1. Examples of past experience with respective contract values � � �5. Indication of current presence, if any, in any of the BIMSTEC nations, including past and future durations � � �6. NAICS Code(s) covering the reported corresponding capabilities and the respective business size for each NAICS code � � �7.
