Description

Provide digital pathology support services to the Joint Pathology Center (JPC). The JPC has evolved their initial digital strategy into a roadmap to demonstrate how they plan to deploy a minimum viable product (MVP) that includes a robust end-to-end (E2E) digital pathology process at the JPC. One of the ultimate objectives of the E2E process is to provide high-quality data that can contribute to the development of AI algorithms that enhance the diagnostic capabilities of pathologists and improve the efficiency and quality of patient care. This contract will enable the MVP by providing capabilities necessary to digitize the JPC�s tissue repository. In accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act of 2008, the Joint Pathology Center (JPC) is pursuing a complete digital pathology modernization effort. This effort has several components, including scanning the majority of the center�s vast tissue repository. The wealth of information housed in the JPC�s repository holds significant potential for personalized medicine, particularly for machine learning algorithms and molecular findings that help establish the diagnosis, prognosis, and personalized therapies for patients.
