Description: The Department of Multidiscipline & Anatomical Laboratories of the Uniformed Services University requires the use of a realistic model and disposable neck and chest skins that simulates surgical procedures on a human for the purpose of meeting graduation requirements for MD students. The model is required to comply wholly with standards set forth by the ACS, the governing entity for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). The use of a surgical model eliminates the need to use live laboratory animals.
