Description
W912QR-Johnson County Phase 2 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice to determine the capabilities of small business firms for a small business set-aside. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately.� This notice does not constitute a solicitation announcement, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. No solicitation or technical scope of services is available at this time. The Government will use the responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT notice to make acquisition decisions. Small businesses are strongly encouraged to review this SOURCES SOUGHT and submit according to the directions in this notice. Contract duration is estimated to be 18 months, NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a size standard of $39.5 million in average annual receipts.� Award of a Firm Fixed Priced Construction Contract is being considered.� This contract will have a period of performance of 18 months and have a cost estimate range between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Phase II (East and West Paintsville) design is being performed in-house. An East Paintsville levee consists of approximately 100 feet of V-shaped earthen levee constructed across a drainage channel to control runoff. The levee is approximately 25-30 feet high and has a one gate well control structure with a sluice gate a storm pipe with flap gate. A West Paintsville floodwall consists of approximately 1,400 linear feet of concrete T-wall/I-wall with standard height of 10 feet with some regrading and drainage pipe penetrations. All interested Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman- Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this SOURCES SOUGHT by email no later than 16 February 2022 by 4:00 PM.� The following requests are designed to apprise the US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, of any prospective small business construction project execution capabilities. �Please provide your response to the following. The submission is limited to 12 total pages of information. Responses should include: 1. Identification and verification of the company's small business status. 2. Contractor's Unique Identifier Number and CAGE Code(s). 3. Documentation from the firm's bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. 4. Descriptions of Experience - Interested firms must provide specification sheets for all equipment to determine if the firm can provide the requested equipment. Provide a description of your firm�s past experience on completed projects within the last ten years which are similar to this project in scope.� Provide documentation demonstrating the construction, scheduling and coordination experience for flood risk management projects that involve management of multiple sub-contractors and self-performance of either levee construction or floodwall construction. a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Projects considered similar in scope will include the new earthen levee construction and/or concrete floodwall construction (I-wall and/or T-wall). b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Projects that include a minimum combined total of 1,000 LF of new construction of levee or floodwall with a minimum average vertical height of 5 feet. c. Based on the information above, for each project submitted, include: Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. Scope of the project. Size of the project. The dollar value of the construction contract. The type and percentage of the contract cost, that was self-performed as physical construction by construction trade(s). Identify the number of subcontractors by construction trade utilized for each project. Documentation from the firm�s bonding company showing current single and aggregate performance and payment bond limits. The portion and percentage of the project that was self-performed. Demonstrate and provide successful Projects of similar size and scope within the last 5 years. Successful construction completion of earthen levees and/or concrete floodwalls.
