Eastern ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for MK46 MOD2 5.56X45mm LMG, MK48 MOD2 7.62X51mm LMG, MK3 Upgrading Kits for the MK46 and MK48, and PIO items. FOR SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- The proposed contract action is for MK46 MOD2 5.56X45mm LMG, MK48 MOD2 7.62X51mm LMG, MK3 Upgrading Kits for the MK46 and MK48, and PIO items. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division located at Naval Support Activity, Crane, Indiana 47522 intends to award a three-year contract extension on an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed price contract. The delivery shall remain FOB Destination. It is anticipated that inspection will remain at origin and acceptance will remain at destination. The overall contract ceiling will not be increased. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source; FN America, Inc. located at 797 Old Clemson Rd. Columbia, South Carolina 29229, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is being sole sourced because lack of technical data, engineering capability, duplicative cost to the Government that is not expected to be recouped through competition, and the unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirement through any other source. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Anticipated Period of Performance will be FY23-FY26. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1866-606-8220 or via the internet at https://www.sam.gov. The proposed noncompetitive contract action is anticipated to be awarded under FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiations. It is anticipated that the contract action will be awarded the Last Quarter of FY23. Contract Opportunities on https://www.sam.gov has officially replaced FBO.gov All changes that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Contract Opportunities on https://www.sam.gov. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and / or award.�� No solicitation will be available at SAM.gov and no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
