Description

One (1 ea) Fortus 450mc 3D Printing System with Material Package, Accessories Package, Service Contract, Installation of Equipment, Shipping, and Operator Training in strict accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). Stratasys's Fortus 450mc is the sole 3D printing equipment that meets the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) additive manufacturing requirements (toxicity, flammability, smoke, and tensile test requirements) for the manufacture of specific three dimensional polymer parts used on any USAF weapons system. The Fortus 450mc is the only manufacturing technology compatible with the mandatory material, ULTEM 9085 resin in accordance with; -Airworthiness Circular (AC)-18-04, Additively Manufactured ULTEM 9085 Components for Aircraft Interior Applications, dated 16 Nov 2018 -Air Force Drawing 201879200, Polymers Additive Manufacturing, General Procedures and Process Controls -Developmental Guidance Notification 19-004, Additive Manufacturing Equipment Purchases -Developmental Guidance Notification 19-005, Process for Printing Qualified AM Parts -T.O. 34A-1-1 On 25 October 2021, the chief of the Air Force Metals Technology Office at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base provided the requirement owner with a sole source letter justifying the Stratasys Fortus 450mc as the only approved/compatible system meeting the above standards.
