- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) 36C26222Q0337 IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a source sought/RFI for market research only. The purpose of this source sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 333415 (size standard is 1,250 Employees). Responses to this source sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide Air Curtain Refrigerators that at a minimum meets the following salient characteristics in the Description of Supplies for the VA New Mexico Healthcare System: Line Item Description/Part Number Quantity Unit Unit Price Amount 0001 Refrigerator, Air Curtain, one-section, self-contained refrigeration, digital thermometer, electronic controls, stainless steel exterior and interior, full-height door hinged right, with bumpers 1 EA 0002 Refrigerator, Air Curtain, one-section, self-contained refrigeration, digital thermometer, electronic controls, stainless steel exterior and interior, full-height door hinged left, with bumpers 1 EA TOTAL Include shipping cost on the items price. Vendor Requirements: Period of Performance is 90 days after receipt of order (ARO). Vendor shall quote all items under this requirement. Vendor shall meet the Salient Characteristics in the Description of Supplies. Vendor shall respond to questions 1 through 8 of the Request of Information (RFI); see below. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES FOR VA NEW MEXICO HEALTHCARE SYSTEM Objective The VANMHCS has a requirement to purchase two air curtain refrigerators, one with a left hinged door and the other with a right hinged door: Traulsen Model No. RAC37-1 or equal to (left hinged door) and Traulsen Model No. RAC37-2 or equal to (right hinged door). Background The current refrigerators have reached the end of their lifecycle. The Air Curtain Refrigerators will be used in the Nutrition and Food Services main kitchen (Building 41, BB 110) during meal service. Product Description and Quantities LINE ITEM DESCRIPTION QUANTITY UNIT 0001 Refrigerator, Air Curtain, one-section, self-contained refrigeration, digital thermometer, electronic controls, stainless steel exterior and interior, full-height door hinged right, with bumpers 1 EA 0002 Refrigerator, Air Curtain, one-section, self-contained refrigeration, digital thermometer, electronic controls, stainless steel exterior and interior, full-height door hinged left, with bumpers 1 EA Picture provided as reference for vendors for guidance. Period of Performance The Period of Performance is 90 days after receipt of order (ARO). Place of Delivery Air Curtain Refrigerators will be delivered to: VA New Mexico Healthcare System 1501 San Pedro SE Warehouse Building 46 Albuquerque, New Mexico 87108 Salient Characteristics Air Curtain Refrigerator, Right Hinged Door Right hinged door for ease of access in conjunctive use with left hinged door for ease of access and optimal efficiency Ability to maintain standard temperatures for refrigeration, at or below 45° F Air curtain that maintains temperatures of 50° F and lower for minimum of 30 minutes while door is open for increased efficiency in transit of items into and from refrigerator One or more sections for ease of storage of items to be refrigerated Digital thermometer for ease of recognition of malfunction or deviation from requisite range of temperatures Electronic controls for ease of manipulation of refrigerator controls for increased efficiency Stainless steel exterior and interior for increased durability and longevity of use Standard Voltage 120/60/1 for compatibility with outlet available in room designated for use. Standard warranty for the items listed in Product Description and Quantities (Section 3). Standard warranty for the items listed in Product Description and Quantities (Section 3). Installation 7.1 This requirement does not require an installation. Deliverables Contractor is responsible for the delivery of the items listed in Section 3. Equipment shall be packed appropriately for shipping to prevent damage to the equipment. The contractor shall utilize a shipping vendor that has adequate equipment to safely deliver purchased equipment. Inspection and Acceptance Criteria Products will only be accepted if they are determined to be of acceptable quality and working order, as determined by the VA New Mexico Healthcare System Point of Contact. Security Requirements The contractor will not require any access to VA Information Technology systems nor unsupervised access to VANMHCS clinical areas. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. If you are interested and are capable of providing the sought-out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? (5) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC or are you a contract holder with NASA SEWP or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract type and number. (6) If you are an FSS GSA/NAC or NASA SEWP contract holder or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions available on your schedule/contract? (7) Please provide general pricing for your products/solutions for market research purposes.
