Description

Contract award was made to WMD LLC for the following services:�Emergency Site Remediation Services.�A broken and damaged fire sprinkler system caused the following: flooding and water damage in the Emergency Room and multiple surrounding areas to include patient care areas and areas where staff perform their daily duties. These contaminated areas contained approximately two (2) inches of standing water which was hazardous to staff and which was a threat to patient safety for veterans at the facility. The urgency of this acquisition limited the availability to only one (local) source utilizing emergency (urgent and compelling) procedures IAW FAR Part 6 for this action. A same day site visit was required to assess damages and to ascertain the needed work to be performed. Only local contractors (in the immediate vicinity who were immediately reachable when contacted) were considered. Please refer to the document entitled�C08 Award Notice 36C25622P0377 Emergency Remediation Services which is included with this notice. Period of performance is approximately 5 days beginning on contract award date.�
