- Description
- The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is responsible for managing the project sites under its administration.� Providing law enforcement and protective services in a consistent, efficient, and effective manner is a critical component to preserve public order and safety and to protect national interests in natural resources and infrastructure. The purpose of this contract is to obtain law enforcement services to assist the USACE in the administration and regulation of the use and occupancy of the project sites.� Jackson County (hereinafter �Contractor�) shall enforce the civil and criminal laws of the State and/or County on the public lands, waters, roads, and trails administered by USACE. Contractor may provide increased law enforcement services on lands and waters administered by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE and CORPS) at the locations described below. AREA OF PERFORMANCE a. Rogue River Project: The following USACE-administered lands and waters within Jackson County, which may receive patrol services include the following areas: Lost Creek Lake, Elk Creek and Applegate Dam. (1) Lost Creek Lake Project areas include but are not limited to: Bridge Hole Fishing Access, McGregor Park, McGregor Park Visitor Center, McGregor Park Boat Ramp, McGregor Park Fishing Access, River�s Edge Park, River�s Edge Fishing Access, William L. Jess Dam Recreation Area, Takelma Day Use and Boat Ramp, Four Corners Campground, Lost Creek Lake Trailhead, Crowfoot/Big Butte Creek Recreation Area, Viewpoint Mike Trail and Trailhead, Spillway Fishing Access, Medco A Fishing Access, Peyton Bridge Trailhead, Fire Glen Campground, Catfish Cove Day Use Area, Lewis Road Trailhead, and the Rogue River Trail, Lost Creek section. (2) Elk Creek Project areas include but are not limited to: Yellow Rock Trailhead (Lower Elk Creek Trailhead), Elk Creek Operations Area, Homesteader Trailhead (Upper Elk Creek Trailhead), 7 Mile Swimming Holes, and the Elk Creek Trail. (3) Applegate Dam Project areas include but are not limited to: USACE lands immediately surrounding Applegate Dam, such as the Dam Structure, Intake Tower, Service building(s) and surrounding lands. This contract provides for enhanced patrols during periods of peak visitation. All patrols may be strategically planned to enhance visitor safety at USACE projects, to promote water safety, and to ensure compliance with boating and fishing laws. This is a Firm-Fixed Price service contract with a Base Year commencing at date of award plus 4 additional 12-month Option Years.
